Be careful Italian, Spanish and French English learners! Café does not mean coffee. ☕
Confusing, right? Well, that's English for you! 😁 Sometimes we take foreign words and use them differently in English. In this case, café is a location/establishment, a coffeehouse.
"I'm sorry teacher, I don't have my homework because my dog ate the carpet." This is an excuse that doesn't work in English!
'Carpet' is a thick fabric, commonly made of wool or nylon and is used to cover floor. #FalseFriendFriday
